After intense investigation, the cure was approved as miraculous by the Vatican Congregation for the Causes of Saints on 2 June 2009, thus clearing the way for the beatification of Newman – now expected to take place in 2010.
• Deacon Sullivan will tell his illuminating story and take questions from the audience.
• Fr Ian Ker will give an introductory address on the significance of Newman’s coming beatification.
CTS is delighted that this Lecture will provide a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of Newman for the Church today.
