Online Resources for the Divine Office

If you are learning how to say the Divine Office, there are quite a few resources online to get you started.

diaconate.org.uk

A good place to start is this website. Start out by reading our 5 Minute Guide and follow the Today & Tomorrow guide on our home page. Today & Tomorrow also contains suggested hymn tunes as well as psalm tones if you want to sing the Divine Office.

Universalis

This is a great site that gives you a localised calendar for England and Wales, Westminster and Southwark, as well as other parts of the world. Here you can find Mass readings and the Divine Office for the day without hymns or antiphons. They also have a version of Universalis that can run directly on your PC, and another  version that will run on your iPod Touch or iPhone.

iBreviary

Still on the iPhone, and Italian priest Fr Paolo Padrini has developed this application which contains the Missal and Divine Office in multiple languages including latin. You can find this in the iTunes AppStore.

Praystation Portable

These are recordings of Morning and Evening Prayer recorded by Jeff Vista from SQPN. You can subscribe to this podcast using iTunes.
